Career History

I worked in the consumer marketing department at a large PR firm in Minneapolis as my first job out of college. While there, I had the pleasure of working on unique marketing campaigns for some well-known brands such as Coca Cola and Chevy.  My next career opportunity brought me to a local quartz countertop manufacturer where I worked in the marketing department as a Senior Communications Specialist. In 2008, I received an opportunity to join Travel Beyond and haven’t looked back since.

Where I’ve Lived Abroad

In college, I was fortunate enough to enjoy a study abroad program in New Zealand and Australia.

Most Memorable Travel Experiences

Jumping out the side of a tiny airplane while sky diving in Australia was definitely a memorable moment!

Going on a hot air balloon safari at dawn over the Maasai Mara in Kenya.  The silence was remarkable as the balloon drifted over thousands of Wildebeest on their annual migration.

My Most Recent Trip

My most recent trip was to Kenya where I spent two weeks on safari with a group of wonderful Travel Beyond clients and two coworkers.

Favorite Properties

Cape Grace (Cape Town, South Africa)

After a week on safari, settling in at the Cape Grace for some R&R before beginning our exploration of Cape Town and its surrounding areas was certainly a highlight. The Cape Grace is the perfect combination of luxury and comfort, and the location can’t be beat. The stunning views of the marina and Table Mountain, and our daily walks to V&A Waterfront were highlights of our stay at Cape Grace.

Naboisho Camp (Naboisho Conservancy, Kenya)

Located on a private conservancy adjacent to the Masai Mara National Reserve, the beauty of Naboisho Camp and its surrounding landscape is hard to describe. Highlights of our stay included excellent game viewing by vehicle and on foot with expert guides, and nightly sundowners on the wide open plains as we watched the sun slowly drop below the horizon.
