Mgahinga National Park
Uganda’s smallest and arguably most scenic National Park is one of two places in Uganda where mountain gorillas live. This tiny park protects the Ugandan side of the Virunga Mountains; along with Rwanda and the Congo it creates the Virunga Conservation Area and is home to half the world’s remaining population of mountain gorillas. Mgahinga has only one group of nine mountain gorillas habituated to people.
