Listening to the sounds of exotic birds, sampling the flavors of vintage wine and simply taking in the pristine wilderness can get lost with a poorly designed group tour. For example, it’s easy for a tour operator to charter a bus and send an entire group of 120 guests to a Cape Winelands estate in South Africa. But to create a more personal feel, Travel Beyond prefers to design six smaller tours (20 people each) that spread out across the Winelands. After the micro-group tours, all of the guests are brought together to mingle and share their experiences.
