Why I’m a Travel Consultant
I love to travel myself, and passing along the things I have learned to my clients is a big part of my love of travel planning. I help my clients fulfill their dreams; regardless if that is visiting Machu Picchu, experiencing a safari, cruising the Mediterranean or enjoying a week with their family at a fantastic beach resort. I also believe that travel expands our horizons in immeasurable ways, causing us to reevaluate how we see and treat others, and live our own lives.
Most Memorable Travel Experience
So many moments are memorable, but the ones that really stick with me are those that cause me to step out of myself, and be in the moment… being grateful for the sights or experiences that I am fortunate enough to be having.
Recommended Right Now
Destinations that include a lot of beautiful scenery and wildlife – Chile, Costa Rica, Southern and Eastern Africa, etc.
My Most Recent Trip
I spent 15 days in Kenya and Tanzania, visiting safari camps in a number of national parks and private conservancies. Before that, I spent 18 days in Chile, visiting Santiago, the Atacama Desert, the Millahue wine region, Patagonia and an Expedition Cruise through Tierra del Fuego.
In no particular order –
The Four Seasons Hualalai, Hawaii
Fantastic service and location on the Big Islands coast – a peaceful and beautiful place to spend a few days.
The Singular, Patagonia
Amazing public areas, and one of the most interesting hotels architecturally that I have seen.
Titilaka – Peru
Peaceful boutique hotel on the shore of Lake Titicaca – fantastic cultural touring with private local guides.
Lion Sands – South Africa
Great game viewing, and my first safari camp. You must spend a night in Chalkley’s Treehouse!
Viceroy – Mexico
One of the most romantic hotels I have seen, most all of the rooms are standalone Casitas – with amazing privacy.
