BS in Biology from Loyola University, Chicago
MS in Biology with a concentration on Animal Behavior from Tufts University, Boston
I have worked and interned at zoos around the country. Most recently, I worked as a primate keeper at the Houston Zoo working with orangutans and lemurs. I am excited to help people get to see these amazing animals in the wild!
Most Memorable Travel Experience
Study abroad trip to Peru in 2015. I spent three weeks living at a primate research field station in the Amazon. On our last afternoon, we heard a group of red howler monkeys vocalizing and all rushed towards the sound. There were at least 10 red howlers (including a few babies!!) in the trees just feet from our camp! We all sat and watched them for about an hour before they moved on. Watching those babies play and hearing their amazing vocalizations will be an experience I will never forget!
My Most Recent Trip
Exploring Peru in July 2015. After my study abroad program in the Amazon ended, my mom met me in Lima with a suitcase full of clean clothes, a bottle of air freshener for my smelly suitcase, and a bag of Cheetos. We spent the next week exploring Lima, Cusco, and Machu Picchu. It was a wonderful trip full of animals, food and culture. It was made even more special by the fact that I got to share the experience with my mom on her first trip out of the country.
