Meaning “peaceful home,” Amangani is a breathtaking boutique mountain resort surrounded by snow peaks and spectacular national parks. During the warmer months, it is the ideal base for exploring the magnificent surrounding wilderness areas. Enjoy time at leisure to relax, acclimate to your new surroundings and take advantage of the property’s luxurious amenities.

Day 2

Grand Teton National Park

Your driver will pick you up from your hotel early this morning to embark on today’s journey of Grand Teton National Park. Be on the lookout for wildlife as your expert guide brings you through the National Elk Refuge as you make your way through the park. As you get closer to Antelope Flats and Mormon Row, catch glimpses of the bison and pronghorn herds– as well as the occasional grizzly bear– that inhabit the area.

Visit a nearby ranch for a once-in-a-lifetime experience: meeting a real-life cowboy who will demonstrate his unique horse whispering skills to gently tame unbroken horses. Watch as the whisperer works with the horse and explains the techniques he uses to communicate with them. After witnessing this awe-inspiring feat, engage in a 1-hour trail ride with a gentle tame horse to take in incredible views of the Grand Tetons. Afterwards, the cowboy will answer questions as you enjoy delicious western boxed lunch.

After lunch, proceed to the top of Signal Mountain, for magnificent views of the park and the Teton mountain range. On the way back down the mountain, be ready to pass several picture-worthy sights like Jackson Lake and Snake River. Finish your day with a drive on Moose-Wilson Road which is lined with all kinds of interesting wildlife, ranging from the diminutive pika to the road’s namesake hulking moose!

Day 3

Grand Teton National Park

This morning, enjoy some time at leisure to relax at the resort, indulge in a luxurious spa treatment or explore the surrounding wilderness.

Later in the afternoon, your driver will pick you up from your hotel to take you on a scenic, sunset float trip down the Snake River aboard a beautiful wooden rowboat in search of local wildlife. Your group will have a private boat on a small group tour. Enjoy the serenity of floating in a handmade wooden boat as your guide provides an interpretative tour, pointing out various flora and fauna that you encounter. Use your guide’s binoculars to get a better look at elk, eagles, moose, osprey and deer as they emerge from the lush forest that surrounds you. Your boat tour will end at a creek-side camp, where you will have an hour or so to sit back and enjoy a seasonal selection of canapés and non-alcoholic beverages as the sun begins to set, casting a myriad of warm colors across this breathtaking landscape. At the end of this experience, your driver will return you to your hotel.
