Day 1

Welcome to Chile! Upon arrival, you will be met for your private transfer to the Singular Santiago. Reservations will be made for two nights.

Day 2

Santiago

Today you will have much of your day at leisure, to explore Santiago and enjoy the amenities of your hotel.

Later this afternoon, you will be met for your private Chilean Cooking Class. You will indulge in the vibrant flavors of Chile with an unforgettable class that dives deep into the country’s culinary traditions, culture, and history.

In our host’s welcoming kitchen, you’ll roll up your sleeves for a hands-on experience creating classic Chilean dishes. Along the way, sip on refreshing pisco sours and nibble on sopaipillas—a golden fried bread—served with pebre, a zesty Chilean salsa.

Once the cooking is done, you’ll gather around to enjoy a three-course meal showcasing your creations, perfectly paired with local wines. As you dine, the hosts will share fascinating stories and traditions, offering a richer connection to Chilean cuisine and culture.

Santiago to Punta Arenas

Today you will be met for your private transfer to the Santiago Airport for your flight to Punta Arenas. Upon arrival, you will be met for your shared transfer to Cabo de Hornos hotel.

Later this afternoon, you will be welcomed at Explorers House, where you will attend a briefing that provides important information about your air-cruise.

Explorers House, a private club in Punta Arenas, is the perfect place to prepare for your Antarctic adventure. Housed in a beautifully converted heritage building, this exclusive space is designed to ensure you’re ready and confident for the journey ahead.

Here, you can attend briefings, try on gear, practice with life jackets and learn how to board a Zodiac. You can also simply relax with a coffee, browse a curated collection of Antarctic books, and connect with your fellow travelers. Explorers House blends preparation with relaxation, making it the ultimate pre-expedition hub.

Tonight, gather for a welcome dinner and spend time with your fellow adventurers while enjoying a typical regional menu.

Day 4

Punta Arenas to Antarctica

Embark Magellan Discoverer

This morning you will be met at your hotel for your shared transfer to the Punta Arenas Airport. You will fly from Punta Arenas to King George Island, in the South Shetland Islands of Antarctica.

Stepping off the plane, you’ll take your first breath of crisp Antarctic air—it’s a moment to savor. From there, you’ll pass by Chile’s Frei Station and Russia’s Bellingshausen Station as you make your way to the shore. Once there, you’ll hop into a Zodiac for a short ride to the Magellan Discoverer.

Onboard, settle into your cabin and get acquainted with the ship. Later, join your fellow travelers for lunch and an overview of the exciting plans for the next six days of exploration.

Days 5-8

Antarctica

Over the next four days, you will cruise between the South Shetland Islands and the western coast of the Antarctic Peninsula. Sail along ice-filled fjords and among spectacular icebergs, while enjoying the company of seabirds, penguins, seals, and whales. Each day disembark by Zodiac and explore the landscape together with expert polar guides.

On board the ship, attend an engaging program of educational presentations, and enjoy spectacular views from the lounge while sharing your daily adventures with fellow guests.

No journey is the same and flexibility is the key to success in Antarctica. The Expedition Team plans the voyage route to take advantage of the ever-changing opportunities provided by nature, crafting a unique and extraordinary experience every time.

While the exact itinerary changes with each expedition, you will explore several sites that offer the best possible overview of the varied Antarctic environment. Your voyage may include visits to sites in the South Shetland Islands, the Antarctic Sound, the Gerlache Strait, and the Penola Strait.

Day 9

Antarctica to Punta Arenas, Chile

Disembark Magellan Discoverer

Today the Magellan Discoverer returns to King George Island and you bid farewell to Antarctica. Board the flight back to Punta Arenas, Chile. Upon arrival, you will be met for your private transfer to Cabo de Hornos hotel.

Depart Chile

Today you will be met for your private transfer to the Punta Arenas Airport for your flight to Santiago, followed by your onward flights home.
