This was the first of ten thrilling jaguar encounters my colleague Nicole Cooper and I experienced on our Brazil adventure in July. “Jaci” was spotted during a day spent with the Onçafari research team at Caiman Ecological Refuge in the southern Pantanal. Truly a dream fulfilled to see these majestic creatures up close and personal in the wild.
