Day 1

Arrive Jakarta, Indonesia

Welcome to Indonesia!

Upon arrival in Jakarta, you will be met by your local private guide for your transfer to Mandarin Oriental Jakarta where accommodations will be reserved for two nights. Enjoy the remainder of your day at leisure.

Day 2

Jakarta

This morning after breakfast, you will be met by your private guide for an Old Batavia Heritage excursion.

Your excursion begins with a visit to Glodok, the largest Chinatown district in the country, where you will wander through the streets lined with a variety of shops and local eateries. After visiting Glodok, you will head to Sunda Kelapa, one of Jakarta’s most recognizable sights. This harbor has a rich history, and today it hosts the traditional Indonesian two-masted sailing ships known as pinisi.

Finally, you will visit two museums: the Fatahillah Museum, which displays antiques and items from the colonial area, and the Puppet Museum, which displays a collection of Javanese leather puppets used in the ancient Indonesian art of shadow play, or wayang kulit.

After your excursion, you will enjoy the remainder of your day at leisure.

Day 3

Jakarta to Tanjung Puting National Park

Today, you will be met for your transfer to the Jakarta Airport where you will board your flight to Pangkalan Bun Airport. Upon arrival, you will be met by your local guide and transferred to the port of Kumai where you will board a klotok which will be your home for the next 3 nights. A klotok is a traditional wooden river boat named after the noise the engine makes: “klok tok tok tok.”

This afternoon, your guide will lead an excursion where you will search for orangutans and proboscis monkeys. As you explore the rainforest, keep an eye out for other species of animals and birds that call this magical place home.

Day 4

Tanjung Puting National Park

Start your day with a cruise up the aptly named “Crocodile River,” known for its resident reptiles, to the Sekonyer River. Enjoy jungle views and a fresh onboard lunch before reaching Camp Leakey.

Established in 1971, this renowned center supports orangutan research, rehabilitation, and conservation. Explore the camp, meet local rangers, and watch the afternoon feeding, an unforgettable glimpse of these remarkable primates. A short jungle walk is also available before returning to your boat.

Day 5

Tanjung Puting National Park

After breakfast, you will cruise upriver to Pondok Tanggui, one of the park’s orangutan feeding stations, where you will arrive in time for the morning feeding. With your guide and a park ranger, hike into the forest along narrow trails to a quiet clearing where the orangutans gather. It’s an unforgettable chance to see these incredible animals up close.

Afterward, return to the dock and continue on to Pesalat Reforestation Camp. This combined NGO and government project is working to restore areas of the park damaged by illegal logging and forest fires. Here, you’ll have the option to plant your own tree and give it a name. Lunch will be served back on the boat. As you cruise, keep an eye on the trees above for proboscis monkeys.

Day 6

Tanjung Puting National Park to Borobudur

This morning, you will disembark the klotok at the port of Kumai. You will be met by your private guide and transferred to the Pangkalan Bun Airport for your flight to Semarang. Upon arrival in Semarang, you will be met for your private transfer to Amanjiwo where accommodations will be reserved for three nights.

Day 7

Borobudur

Today, you will be met by your private guide for a tour of Borobudur Temple and Candirejo Village.

Start with a guided exploration of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Borobudur, one of Southeast Asia’s most awe-inspiring sites and the largest Buddhist monument in the world. Built from more than two million stone blocks, the temple features six square terraces topped by three circular ones, along with thousands of intricate relief panels and over 500 Buddha statues.

Continue to Candirejo, a quiet village surrounded by plantations and scenic countryside. Travel by traditional dokar, a horse-drawn cart, or choose to bike through the rural landscape. In the village, learn about local farming traditions and daily life.

Finally, enjoy a lesson in Indonesian Gamelan music and lunch at a local restaurant.

Day 8

Borobudur

After breakfast, you will be met by your private guide for a Serenade at the Foot of Menoreh Hill experience. Your experience begins with a short drive to the village of Candirejo, where you will begin your trek. As you walk, you will pass through a local village where you will see the locals going about their day. The ascent to the top of the hike will take about 1.5 hours. Once you reach the top, you will take in a magnificent view of Mount Merapi.

Enjoy the breathtaking views while enjoying traditional snacks before returning to the base and driving back to the hotel where you will spend the remainder of your day at leisure.

Day 9

Borobudur to Manggis

Today, you will leave Borobudur and travel to Manggis, Bali. A private transfer will take you from Amanjiwo to the Yogyakarta Airport where you will board your flight to Denpasar. Upon arrival in Denpasar, you will be met for your private transfer to Amankila, where accommodations will be reserved for three nights. Enjoy the remainder of your day at leisure.

Day 10

Manggis

This morning after breakfast, you will embark on a rafting excursion along the Telaga Waja River in the scenic Muncan Karangasem area. Known as one of Bali’s top rafting spots, the river winds through lush valleys, rice fields, cliffs, and waterfalls. Paddle through clear waters and enjoy the views as you navigate a series of medium rapids.

Following this exciting excursion, you will be transferred back to Amankila to enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.

Day 11

Manggis

Today, you will experience some of the best snorkeling in East Bali with an Aman cruise snorkeling activity. Enjoy the calm waters as you snorkel, keeping an eye out for colorful fish and other marine life swimming below the surface.

Day 12

Manggis to Ubud

This morning after breakfast and checkout, meet your private guide in the hotel lobby for your private transfer from Manggis to Ubud with stops along the way. Begin with a visit to Goa Lawah, known as the Bat Cave Temple, one of Bali’s most sacred sites. Home to thousands of bats and steeped in spiritual significance, it’s an important place of worship for the Balinese.

Next, continue to Tibumana Waterfall, a peaceful spot tucked away in the forest. Surrounded by moss-covered cliffs and lush greenery, the waterfall flows into a deep natural pool which is perfect for a quiet moment in nature. End your sightseeing at the iconic rice terraces of Tegalalang. With their layered green slopes and sweeping views, it’s one of the most photographed landscapes in Bali.

After lunch at a local restaurant, you’ll continue on to Capella Ubud, where accommodations have been reserved for four nights.

Day 13

Ubud

This morning, you will embark on a private sunrise trek at Mount Batur. Start your hike at 3,937 feet above sea level and make your way to the summit at 5,633 feet. The climb takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, and you will arrive at the top just in time to watch the sunrise over the surrounding landscape and volcanic crater, a breathtaking reward for the early wake-up call. After enjoying breakfast at the summit, begin your descent, with time to explore younger craters and areas of recent lava flow along the way.

Next, unwind at Toya Bungkah Hot Springs in the village of Penelokan, where the natural mineral pools offer a soothing way to recover from your hike. Locals believe the warm, spring-fed waters hold healing properties, making it an ideal spot to relax after your morning trek. After your excursion, you will be transferred back to the hotel to enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.

Day 14

Ubud

This morning after breakfast, meet your private guide in the hotel lobby for a rainforest trekking and canoeing excursion.

Begin with a scenic drive north to the Bedugul highlands, an area known for its cool climate, lush landscapes, and three beautiful caldera lakes: Beratan, Buyan, and Tamblingan. Your first stop is Ulun Danu Temple, a 17th-century Hindu water temple that appears to float on Lake Beratan when water levels are high. It’s one of Bali’s most iconic and photographed landmarks.

Continue on to Lake Tamblingan, where you’ll begin a gentle trek through the surrounding tropical rainforest. Enjoy the fresh mountain air as you walk beneath the canopy, spotting native plants and wildlife along the way. After about an hour, arrive at the lake’s edge for a paddle across the water in a traditional dug-out canoe. Following your excursion, spend the remainder of the day at leisure.

Day 16

Ubud to Komodo

After breakfast, you will leave Ubud and travel to Komodo. A private transfer will take you from Capella Ubud to the Denpasar Airport where you will board your flight to Labuan Bajo. Upon arrival at Labuan Bajo (Bandara Komodo) Airport, you will be met for your private transfer to board Dewata, where accommodations will be reserved for four nights.

Dewata is a luxury yacht designed with both families and groups of friends in mind, offering a perfect balance of privacy and shared space. Onboard, you’ll find two ocean-view master cabins, a spacious lower-deck cabin, a private terrace, and a generous sundeck for lounging and socializing. Komodo

Spend the day sailing through the straits between Sumbawa and the Flores Islands, where some of Komodo’s best dive and snorkel sites are located. Explore vibrant reefs at Tatawa Besar, Batu Bolong, and Golden Passage, known for their rich marine life and clear waters.

At the end of the day, anchor in the calm bay of Gili Lawa Island and take in the wide-open views as the sun sets.

Day 18

Komodo

Today, visit a pair of islands known for three renowned dive sites: Castle Rock, Crystal Rock, and the Cauldron. These spots offer exciting opportunities to see sharks and thriving marine life. For those seeking a more relaxed experience, the area also features beautiful hard coral reefs, where manta rays are often spotted.

Later in the day, explore the calm turquoise bays by paddleboard or kayak before unwinding with a well-earned drink at sunset.

Day 19

Komodo

Begin your day at Taka Makassar, also known as Manta Point, where you’ll snorkel or dive in a vibrant coral garden alongside manta rays, reef sharks, turtles, and other incredible aquatic species. Following your excursion, you will visit Rinca Island to see the legendary Komodo dragons in their natural habitat. Finally, enjoy a special sunset at Kalong Island, where you’ll witness thousands of giant bats, often called “flying foxes,” depart for their nightly hunt.

Day 20

Komodo to Nihi Watu Beach

This morning, you will cruise back to Labuan Bajo where you will board your flight to Denpasar. Upon arrival in Denpasar, you will make your way to your connecting flight to Tambolaka. Once you arrive in Tambolaka, you will be met for your transfer to Nihi Sumba, where accommodations will be reserved for five nights.

Day 21-24

Nihi Watu Beach

Nihi Sumba is a remote island retreat where centuries-old tribal culture provides a rich backdrop to a stay defined by unfiltered freedom, understated luxury, and unforgettable moments. The resort spans 567 acres, but only 65 acres will ever be developed. The rest is reserved for conservation, farming, and recreation, preserving the island’s natural beauty for generations to come.

Each morning begins with a leisurely breakfast, either at the restaurant or in the privacy of your villa, served by your personal butler. Complimentary yoga classes are held daily at the open-air pavilion, where panoramic views over the bay create a peaceful start to the day.
