Why I’m a Travel Manager
I enjoy being a Travel Manager because it allows me to see the world through different eyes. Whether it is listening to a consultant talk about their travels, researching a destination or listening to a client speak about a favorite trip, it allows me to learn about the world.
Early in my career, I worked for the State of Minnesota in the Worker’s Compensation Court division. I, then, chose to stay at home to raise my children before joining Travel Beyond in 2010.
Why Travel Beyond
Working every day with a group of charismatic people who enjoy what they do makes Travel Beyond a fun and interesting place to work.
Most Memorable Travel Experience
My most memorable travel moment is the first time I saw the ocean. I will never forget the sound and smell. It is still to this day my favorite sound. Taking my children to see the ocean for the first time and being able to see their expression was truly fantastic. It was their favorite part of the trip!
I also enjoy the differing landscapes and architectural views. I am always amazed at how different the landscapes are from region to region.
Peru, Mexico and various places in the United States
My Most Recent Trip
I visited Peru in April 2016. The Peruvian people are so welcoming. I visited Lima, Cusco, Sacred Valley, Aguas Calientes and Iquitos. Iquitos was the starting point of a 3 night cruise on the Amazon aboard the Aqua Amazon. The cruise was a unique, wonderful adventure. Peru was an amazing experience.
