Travel Beyond’s New Logo: Behind the Design

Along with our new and improved website, Travel Beyond has unveiled a new logo, color palette and overall brand image. As previously mentioned in our website launch blog, our new logo was designed after a lot of soul searching and reflection amongst our team about who we are, where we’ve been and where we want to go. As we launch into a new year with a new look, we’d like to share some of the inspiration behind the design.

THE LOGO

Founded by South Africa-born Audrey Beal and Minnesota-born David Beal, Travel Beyond was the first company established in the United States to plan safaris to Africa that is still in business today. We’re incredibly proud of our 40-year history, and we strived to honor this rich tradition by choosing a classic, traditional font for the word “TRAVEL”.

Today, the passion that Audrey and David shared for Africa remains. Audrey and David’s son Craig Beal and his wife Kay have been at the helm of Travel Beyond for more than 10 years. Under their leadership, Travel Beyond has quadrupled in size while keeping focused on what makes Travel Beyond so special: our deep passion for international travel, rooted in our love for Africa. Today, Travel Beyond’s expertise expands beyond Africa to include South America, Southeast Asia, India and Australia. In these places, we offer unmatched expertise and service.

Our staff today is an eclectic mix of the best minds in the industry (we may be a bit biased, but what can we say… we’re proud of them all!). Each has a unique background and varied travel interests, but all share two important things in common: we love travel, and we pour our hearts into planning the best trips possible for our clients. The modern font used for “BEYOND” represents our company today and our future.

Together, the two segments of our logo capture the essence our brand: a company with a strong family history committed to service, leadership and growth in a changing travel industry and world.

LOOKING AHEAD

As a Travel Beyond client, you’ll see our new logo in a few places already, most notably here on our redesigned website, TravelBeyond.com. Other branded materials will be unveiled in the near future, ensuring a smooth client experience in the interim. Thank you for your patience as we refresh our travel documents, online presence, building signs, and so much more!

Most importantly, thank you for your loyalty and business. Behind our external brand is the unchanged mission at the core of our identity:

Travel Beyond is a family-owned luxury travel consultancy. Our mission is to create custom journeys that exceed each client’s expectations.
