Day 1

Arrive Bangkok, Thailand

Welcome to Thailand! Upon arrival in Bangkok, you will be met for your private transfer to the Capella Bangkok. Accommodations will be reserved for three nights in the Presidential Villa, including breakfast daily.

The ultimate indulgence, this villa boasts two bedrooms, a living room, a private pool, its own exclusive entrance, and spectacular river views. Its decor underscores exceptional luxury, with marble countertops, four poster beds, and lush tropical gardens outside.  A beautiful patio and elegant outdoor furnishings provide a stunning water’s edge venue for a romantic dinner or an evening BBQ with friends.

Day 2

Bangkok

This morning you will be met by your private guide for a day of exploring Bangkok. The first stop will be Wat Pho, one of the city’s oldest temples, where you have the opportunity to witness the monks’ early morning chanting ritual. You will then continue to Lak Mueang City Pillar, a site that is believed to be the first structure, and founding stone, in the city of Bangkok. From there, it is off to the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, known as Wat Pra Kaew. The palace complex sits in the heart of the city and boasts ornate buildings and the Emerald Buddha is considered the most important Buddha image in all of Thailand.

After a break to enjoy a typical family-style local Thai lunch, you will board a longtail boat for a cruise through Bangkok’s maze of ancient canals. You’ll make a stop at the fascinating Artist’s House (Baan Silapin) to learn about traditional Thai crafts and then end your exploration of the Chao Phraya River with a visit to Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn.

Following your excursion, you will be transferred back to the hotel for some rest and relaxation, before being collected later in the evening for a private foodie tour via tuk tuk. Exploring Old Town and Chinatown, you will sample some of the best food that Bangkok has to offer. You’ll adventure through narrow alleyways, visiting a wide variety of establishments, from vendors with tables on the sidewalk to atmospheric family restaurants. You’ll even sample the cuisine at a street stall that has earned a Michelin star. Afterwards, you will be returned to your hotel.

Day 3

Chao Phraya River Cruise

This morning after breakfast, you will be transferred to the pier at Anantara Riverside Bangkok to board Loy Dream, your private home for the next night. You will be welcomed by the crew with a delicious herbal drink after which they will provide a brief introduction to the boat and your voyage.

Setting sail, you will make your way to Ayutthaya, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the ancient capital of Thailand, founded in 1350. Cruising up the Chao Phraya River, you will take in the Thai countrysidse and appreciate the stunning scenery as it passes by. A delicious Thai lunch will be served on board.

Sunset cocktails will be enjoyed overlooking Wat Niwet Thammaprawat, a temple located within the grounds of the Bang Pa-In Summer Palace. Constructed in 1878, the temple was built in the style of an English Gothic church and its stained glass windows and unusual architecture make it one of the most distinctive Buddhist temples in Thailand. From here, you will sail to Wat Bot, where you can participate in a monk blessing and enjoy a tour of the temple grounds.

Dinner will be served onboard.

Day 4

Bangkok

Enjoy a leisurely morning aboard the Loy Dream. Read your book on deck, and watch river life float past on your way back to Bangkok. Brunch will be served onboard before disembarking midafternoon. You will be transferred to the Capella Bangkok and have the remainder of the day to relax or explore.

Day 5

Bangkok to Chiang Rai

Early this morning after breakfast and checkout, you will be met in the hotel lobby by your local private guide and transferred to the Bangkok Airport where you will check in for your flight to Chiang Rai.

Upon arrival, you will be met by your local private guide for some sightseeing en route to Pa Sak Tong. Stops include the enigmatic White Temple, the eclectic Black House, or the newest colorful addition to Chiang Rai, the Blue Temple.  You can also take a slight detour to explore the incredibly scenic mountain range of Doi Tung. Nestled within the foothills are the Mae Fah Luang botanical gardens which offer some of the best views in the Kingdom (transfer time to Mae Fah Luang: approx. 1hr).

Following a stop for lunch at a delicious northern Thai restaurant, you will continue on to Pa Sak Tong, your home for the next three nights.

Tucked into the countryside of Chiang Rai, Pa Sak Tong is a luxury estate boasting acres of gardens, ponds, and rice fields that instantly immerse you into your surroundings. With just two villas, which are booked on an exclusive basis, you have total privacy ane exclusive access to the grounds. The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy at leisure. Dinner will be served at the villa.

Days 6 & 7

Chiang Rai

Spend the next two days exploring the estate’s amenities and any of the private excursions included in your stay. Enjoy a private visit to a nearby elephant sanctuary. Meet their mahouts (caretakers) and learn about their habits and behaviors, as well as how they found themselves at the sanctuary. You have the opportunity to assist in their bathing and feeding as well, giving you an up-close look into the lives of these incredible animals.

You  might also enjoy a private hike through Doi Chang, or Elephant Mountain. Following old animal trails, you walk through untouched virgin forests as your local guide points out interesting flora and fauna. An elder from the nearby village, your guide will also share stories and insight into the unique customs of the Lizu people. The hike finishes with a groumet lunch overlooking the valleys.

Other excursions include a guided tour of Chiang Rai’s  night bazaar, where you can purchase beautiful handicrafts and sample freshly prepared local food, a Golden Triangle tour, during which you can visit the sleepy town of Chiang Saen and the famous Opium Hall, and an exploration of Doi Tung to learn about local nonprofit initiatives. You can also enjoy time on property, taking a dip in the pool or heading to the spa for a massage.

All meals will be served at your villa or during an activity.

Day 8

Chiang Rai to Chiang Mai

This morning following breakfast and checkout, you will meet your guide and privately transfer to a nearby helipad for an unforgettable helicopter transfer to hillsides around Doi Mae Salong mountain. From here, you will set off to visit Santikhiri, an ethnic Chinese community whose inhabitants immigrated and built this community in the 1950s. On a clear day the views from Doi Mae Salong are simply stunning.

You will then continue to Ban Phaya Phrai Lisu and Lahu village, taking in the unforgettable mountain scenery. Your guide will also share the fascinating political history of the region.  Enjoy a local Thai lunch before hopping back into the helicopter for a short transfer to Chiang Sean. You will then continue by road to 137 Pillars House in Chiang Mai, your home for the next two nights. A beautiful teak building once home to the Borneo Trading Company, the property has been restored to embody this history.

Day 9

Chiang Mai

Waking before sunrise, you will be transferred to the launch site for your morning hot air balloon excursion. Upon arrival, you can watch the balloon slowly inflate while enjoying a hot beverage. Climbing aboard, you will take off for an unforgettable float over the Thai countryside. Marvel at the panoramic views of the rich green paddy fields below and delight in flying so near to houses below that you are greeted with shouts of “Sawatdee” from the children as you pass overhead. As you soar above Chiang Mai, your pilot will point out temples and landmarks, and upon landing, you will enjoy a champagne breakfast.

After some down time back at 137 Pillars House, you will head out once again to explore the ancient archaeological ruins of Wiang Kum Kam. Hop in a traditional horse cart and discover fascinating remains that date back to the 8th century, including stone tablets with ancient Mon inscriptions, pottery, earthenware and Buddhist sculptures. Finding a quiet corner, you will enjoy a delicious picnic lunch featuring many different Northern Thai specialities.

You will then be transferred back to your hotel and have the remainder of the day to relax.

Day 10

Chiang Mai to Koh Yao Noi

This morning after breakfast and checkout, you will be transferred to the Chiang Mai Airport for your flight to Phuket, with a layover in Bangkok. Upon arrival, you will be met by a resort representative and transferred to via private speedboat to Six Senses Yao Noi, located within the picturesque Phang Nga Bay. Accommodations will be reserved for four nights and the remainder of the day is yours to enjoy at leisure.

Days 11-13

Koh Yao Noi

Enjoy your days at leisure to explore Koh Yaoi Noi and the Andaman archipelago.

The calm and clear waters surrounding the numerous islands provide an ideal setting for exciting snorkeling and scuba diving. You will undoubtedly marvel at the vibrant marine life below the surface and, if diving,  have the opportunity to do so alongside dive masters who not only know the region well, but can take you down to amazing depths. You might also enjoy a longtail boat ride or a chartered luxury yacht cruise. An absolute highlight of the water-based activities is island-hopping. Channel your inner explorer and set sail for Pa Koh’s unspoiled lagoons and beaches, lounging on the boat and strolling on the pristine beaches.

You might also wish to discover the untouched and beautiful countryside of Koh Yao Noi and experience the island’s genuine Thai culture. Join a Muay Thai lesson (Thai boxing) to learn the finer points of this beautiful sport or hop on an e-bike to explore the inland terrain. Each and every activity will treat you to incredible scenery and leave you with memories to last a lifetime!

Day 14

Depart Thailand

Enjoy breakfast and a morning at leisure. Later in the day, you will be met in the lobby by a resort representative for your private transfer to the Phuket Airport where you will check in for your flight to Bangkok.

Upon arrival in Bangkok, you will check in for your international flights home.
