Lewa Wildlife Conservancy to Namunyak Conservancy
This morning after an early game drive and breakfast, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your shared light aircraft flight to Namunyak.
Upon arrival at the airstrip, you will be met by your guide and transferred to Sarara Camp. Enjoy three nights in a Standard Tent. This afternoon after lunch, meet your guide and other guests for an afternoon/evening game drive in a shared vehicle. Dinner will be served at camp.
Located in the Mathews Range, this 850,000 acre conservancy is owned and managed by the roughly 2,300 Samburu families who live and raise livestock within its borders. The plains and foothills are home to elephant, leopard, reticulated giraffe, wild dog, and kudu, whose populations, in large part due to the community’s efforts, continue to grow. This camp offers the perfect combination of cultural and wildlife encounters, and its partnership with the Northern Rangelands Trust makes it the ideal example of collaborative conservation.
