Day 1

Arrive Johannesburg, South Africa

Welcome to South Africa! Upon arrival in Johannesburg, you will be escorted to the InterContinental Hotel, located just across the street from the airport. Enjoy your evening at leisure.

Day 2

Johannesburg, South Africa to Sapi Private Reserve, Zimbabwe

Welcome to Zimbabwe! Upon arrival in Harare, you will be assisted to your light aircraft for your shared flight to Tembo Plains, where you will stay for three nights. This afternoon after lunch, meet your guide and other guests for an afternoon/evening game drive. Dinner will be served at the lodge.

Days 3-4

Sapi Private Reserve

On safari! Enjoy your morning and afternoon shared safari activities. Your guide will lead your discovery of the area as you explore by vehicle, on foot, or while boating or canoeing.

Tembo Plains rises along the banks of the Zambezi River, just east of Mana Pools National Park. Named for the elephants that inhabit the land, the pachyderms are a fixture of the property, wandering toward the river in the afternoon hours. You can explore the park by vehicle or on foot, while boating and or canoeing, giving your many different perspectives of the area’s beauty and its wildlife.

Day 5

Sapi Private Reserve to Hwange National Park

This morning after an early game drive and breakfast, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your shared light aircraft flight to Little Makalolo Camp in Hwange National Park. You will stay three nights, and all meals and twice-daily safari activities are included.This afternoon after lunch, meet your guide and other guests for an afternoon/evening game drive. Dinner will be served at the lodge.

Days 6-7

 

Hwange National Park

On safari! Enjoy your morning and afternoon game drives in a shared vehicle.

Little Makalolo lies in one of Hwange’s most ecologically-diverse areas, ensuring both a wide variety and a large number of animals all year round. A large number of watering holes attract game from far and wide, and with one in front of camp, wildlife activity can even be enjoyed from the pool or your breakfast table or, more intimately, from the camp’s log-pile hide.

Day 8

Hwange National Park to Victoria Falls

This morning after an early game drive and breakfast, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your shared light aircraft flight to Victoria Falls. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to Victoria Falls River Lodge, where you will stay for for two nights, including all meals and two activities per day. This afternoon meet your guide and other guests for a sunset river cruise. Dinner will be served at the lodge. Victoria Falls River Lodge is the first privately owned safari lodge to be built within the Zambezi National Park and is ideally located for exploring the area.

Day 9

Victoria Falls

Today you will enjoy a guided tour of Victoria Falls.

A visit to Victoria Falls is a truly awe-inspiring experience. Nothing can quite prepare you for the shear splendor and size of these magnificent falls, one of Africa’s most famous sites! Your guide will lead you on an unforgettable tour as they share their vast knowledge of the area’s fauna, flora and points of historical interest. They will also give you great “insider” tips on the best viewing spots of “the smoke that thunders!”

Day 10

Victoria Falls to Malilangwe Wildlife Reserve

Today you will transfer to the Victoria Falls Airport for your shared light aircraft flight to Singita Pamushana. Upon arrival, you will transfer to the lodge, where you will stay for four nights, including all meals and shared activities.

Singita Pamushana Lodge is set among towering trees and overlooking a lake of 1,500 acres in the remote reaches of the pristine Malilangwe Wildlife Reserve. The reserve spans 130,000 acres of wilderness in the southeastern corner of Zimbabwe, bordering Gonarezhou National Park. The land is sprinkled with hundreds of baobab trees which punctuate the untouched wilderness of ridges, outcrops, ironwood and Mountain Acacia woodlands which are home to a great variety of rare and abundant wildlife, as well as hundreds of bird species and ancient rock paintings.

Days 11-13

Malilangwe Wildlife Reserve

Today you will enjoy shared morning and afternoon activities. Opportunities abound at Singita Pamushana and you can speak with your guide about your interests. Immerse yourself in your surroundings with twice-daily game drives, bush walks, sunset boat cruises, excursions to rock art sites and more!

We highly encourage you to participate in a visit to a nearby community. This is an excellent opportunity to gain insight into local life and the Shangaan culture. Get hands-on experience with their customs and traditional way of living. Witness firsthand the positive impact of the thriving development programs in place and meet the fascinating people who live in these communities.

Day 14

Depart Africa

This morning after an early game drive and breakfast, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your shared light aircraft flight to Johannesburg, South Africa. Upon arrival in Johannesburg, you will make your way to your connecting flights home.
