Kenya is well known for its game viewing, wide-open spaces, picturesque landscapes and many opportunities for meaningful cultural experiences. Kenya also offers an array of accommodation options and areas of low-density tourism. In some private conservancies, there’s one tent for every 700 acres of land!
Why October?
October is a great time to use your remaining vacation days in Kenya before the year ends. In October, you’ll find fewer travelers than the peak season and special offers at most luxury camps and lodges, allowing you to maximize your travel budget.
While not guaranteed, October travelers also have a chance of catching part of the famous Great Wildebeest Migration as it moves through the Maasai Mara before the wildebeest return to Tanzania.
Regardless of the migration’s presence, our managing director of Africa, Kota Tabuchi, describes wildlife viewing in the Maasai Mara as “like having front row seats to the filming of National Geographic – there is no such thing as a ‘slow’ day in the Mara.”
