Malawi

A visit to Malawi will be unlike a visit to any other safari destination in the region. Malawi’s Liwonde National Park has a tropical feel and is known for its excellent birding and huge hippo population.  Malawi’s famed Lake Malawi is an inland tropical sea, accounting for 20% of Malawi’s surface area.  Lake Malawi contains the greatest variety of freshwater fish species of any other lake on Earth.

Additionally, visitors to Malawi will gain a great sense of what daily life is like for Malawians. The small first-world cities of Lilongwe and Blantyre stand in stark contrast to the adjacent rural areas where residents build homes and businesses from homemade bricks taken from the red clay earth nearby.
